Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin to host two Redistricting Town Hall Meetings in April
HOUSTON - Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make District E residents aware the City of Houston Planning Department will be conducting Redistricting Town Hall meetings across the City of Houston. A redistricting timeline has been created to assist the public in identifying critical participation points throughout the redistricting process. District E residents should mark their calendars for the upcoming Redistricting Town Hall Meetings in District E:

Monday, April 11

The redrawn districts will aim to:
  • Maintain relatively equal population numbers
  • Be composed of whole county voting precincts
  • Have easily identifiable geographic boundaries
  • Retain integrity of neighborhoods or communities of interest
  • Be compact and contiguous
  • Avoid packing or cracking
  • Preserve incumbent-constituency relations

Submitting a Redistricting Plan
