December Self Care Check In
With shorter days, less sunlight and colder weather, many people find winter to be a tough time. When this is compounded with the holidays, stress can build up more than normal. This holiday season, you may be feeling a little weary or concerned, a little excited or relieved, anxious, sad, happy whew, all the feelings! No matter how you feel, consider this an invitation to take extra good care of yourself over the next few months.
Self care during the holidays will help you feel better and more relaxed through a more challenging time.

How are you showing up for yourself right now? Have you taken the time to meet your needs, basic and otherwise? What do you need right now? Are your stress-levels in the green zone or are they creeping up to yellow and red? What boundaries do you need to enforce? Are you saying yes when you want to say no? Can you think of one thing that can improve how you're feeling?

Take care of yourself this December. It’s the best gift you can give yourself and everyone you love.
Thank you!
Thank you to all who assisted, shared, and contributed on Giving Tuesday! We received over $1000 in donations! This generosity will help us: multiply our impact on our path to end sexual violence once and for all. We are grateful for your continued support to end isolation of survivors and agencies working on their behalf and to improve services, responses, public awareness, and public policy.

We couldn't do any of this without you. Thank you for standing with OAESV and for supporting survivors of sexual violence in Ohio.
