AAHA Gives Back Volunteer Day
You might wonder how the
San Antonio Food Bank
is doing these days. While the community involvement post-Harvey was overwhelmingly impressive, AAHA would like to continue the goodwill while the recovery efforts push forward with an AAHA Volunteer Day. Bring your friends, colleagues and family as we submit our first quarter donations and then work in the pantry preparing meals for citizens in need of our help packing lunches and prepping meal boxes for pick up. Our
love
for San Antonio and the Texas Gulf Coast runs deep! Let’s show Harvey how Texas hospitality lives on as they continue to rebuild.
We will work together to sort and/or pack produce, non-perishable foods, and household items, preparing them for distribution. Duties may include checking for expiration dates, opened packages and spoilage, labeling cans, and packing bags of food or household items. Other duties may include general cleaning of the area, breaking down boxes etc.
