We are fortunate to have a large contingent of volunteers from UT and KSU at VISTA this Friday, February 22 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Given the number of volunteers, we are happy to have
the assistance of VISTA members to help guide the volunteers in a variety of projects including the preparation and planting of a herb garden spiral; composting, cleaning and organizing the shed interior while the exterior is painted; picnic tables art project and finishing the wall mural; weeding, planting and creating FL Weave in demonstration garden; relocating the bat house; preparing soil blocks and sowing seeds, refreshing hanging planters with soil and new or added plants in the "House of the Rising Seeds".
If any of the projects interest you, please come and lend a hand. There is a lot of work to accomplish in a short amount of time. See you at the garden!
P.S. We are excited to be
joined by our Young Villagers, Daisy Scouts
and their parents as they have volunteered to set up and staff a water and snack station to ensure all of our volunteers remain hydrated and healthy!
