Women in Tech @ UCSF
Monthly News & Updates
March 2022 | Issue
Dear WIT@UCSF community,

Happy Women's History Month! This year WIT@UCSF had the privilege to collaborate with the Office of Diversity and Outreach, the Committee on the Status of Women, and the Women of UCSF Health to sponsor a week of engaging events from March 7-11 in honor and celebration of International Women's Day (IWD)! Don't miss the highlight section below to access the recordings.

Speaking of highlights: thank you for all your responses to the call for submissions in MS Teams as this year's UC Women Rock IT blog article is now published! Learn more here about what our talented UCSF colleagues have been up to.

The excitement continues as registration is now open for next month's Tech Cafe on April 5! In partnership with the Program Management Office, this workshop will cover different retrospective review methods beneficial for all teams. (Explore more about this topic in our LinkedIn Learning section a few scrolls down.)

And while we all continue to navigate life during a pandemic, we also want to take a moment to express the WIT@UCSF community's support for the people of Ukraine experiencing war and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ Community against the harmful legislation occurring in our country.

Power On!
Ana Buenaventura, Sarah Lisker, Suria Sadat, Alyssa Tecklenburg, & Stephanie Yee
Highlights
International Women's Day 2022 #BreakTheBias
#BreakTheBias mural
This year's International Women's Day (IWD) campaign theme was #BreakTheBias, "a call to action for all of us to challenge, call out, and stop gender stereotypes, discrimination, and bias."

Catch the recording of the WIT@UCSF fireside chat with former CIO of Clark County and current Salesforce Digital Transformation Executive, Nadia Hansen, on what makes digital transformation so important.

And are you wondering how can we show up as an ally? Karen Catlin - a leadership coach, author, and speaker on inclusive workplaces - shares with us how we can take action today and every day.

To re-watch or discover for the first time any of our recorded events, you can find them in the Resources tab within the General channel on MS Teams.
