GLUING IN THE COLD? NO PROBLEM WITH CHRISTY'S®
|
Solvent cementing PVC pipe and fittings in temperatures below 40 degrees requires special preparation. In cold weather, solvents work slower to penetrate and soften plastic surfaces. The plastic itself is more resistant to solvent action. You will need to follow the correct procedures and allow additional time for curing. Thanks to our vendor partner, T. Christy Enterprises, here's a video showing you the best solvent to use, and how to successfully make solvent cemented joints in cold conditions.
