SCHOOL-WIDE UPDATES
Thanks to everyone who attended last Thursday's PTA meeting. Missed the meeting? Here's some of the highlights . Please continue to submit questions here to our principals; read the principal messages for responses.

The All 4 One Fun Run will be this Wednesday!  Please note, the event is only open to those that signed up on the SignUp Genius.

Thank you all so much for the great start to our fundraiser! Our students have been having a blast during lunch learning different character lessons through a Wild West STEAM theme. Our school goal is to raise $30,000 to go towards Student Enrichment and to Strengthen Our School Community and we are well on our way!

To help Westlake Elementary reach our goal, register your student on  FunRun.com  by searching for our school name or using our school’s registration code “857-943”. Once there, you can create a Student Star Video with your child’s face to post on your social media page or send out to family/friends! This is also where you can make a flat pledge or pledge per lap. There will be 2 tracks set up in the bus loop. Children are encouraged to complete 30-35 laps running, walking, skipping, dancing, or any combination of the above! They are going to have a blast!

This weekend your students have been issued a special Weekend Challenge! You can check out more details on  FunRun.com  or visit our Westlake PTA page on Facebook.

Calling all ghost and goblins to help with Halloween Parties!

The In-Class Volunteers sign up form for the upcoming Halloween parties went live on all our communication platforms on Friday, October 4. This sign up will close on Monday, October 14.

To be inclusive of as many families as possible, the PTA asks that only one adult family member sign up for only one “Party Volunteer” role per child for the year. A family member may sign up as a “Party Volunteer ALTERNATE” for other classroom parties. Alternate(s) will be notified, in the event of a cancellation. Click here to view and sign up.

We know there’s a lot of buzz about classroom parties this year. Please remember that classroom parties are just one of the volunteer opportunities at WES. Families are encouraged to stay informed of volunteer opportunities by signing up for the PTA eblast and/or attending PTA meetings. Our next meeting is November 7 at 7 PM in the cafeteria.

Please reach out to your House VP with any questions.
