On April 7th we launched our first HOTSHEET Live! Webinar. Over 600 businesses representing organizations from all over the country signed up to attend this content-rich session that focused on how to do business with the federal government during COVID-19 and the SBA’s Disaster Business Loan Programs. The expert panel provided the audience with key takeaways such as:

  1. Rules of Engagement When Doing Federal Business during the Coronavirus pandemic.
  2. The role of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and how to do business with them during a disaster.
  3. How to take advantage of the SBA programs such as the Payroll Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL).

Acting Director Riplinger-Baltz recommends reaching out to the Small Business Deputies across US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE).
USACE has Small Business Program Deputies located in the Districts. There are 43 Districts across this country that do this work and the buying.
The Deputy for Small Business manages the Small Business Office. The Deputy serves as an advocate for the Small and Disadvantaged Business Program by ensuring that small businesses receive the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in and receive their fair share of contract dollars awarded.

The Small Business Deputy will provide either a Point of Contact email and phone number or a place for you to input your information. USACE contracting is done at the district level, where the small business deputies are located.
