FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Welcome to February, a month when we traditionally see more snow. Please be advised that during inclement weather, curbside pickup hours may be shortened, extended or suspended -- we will do our best to keep you updated via email directly to patrons with items on hold, posts to our website and social media, and an update on our phone message.

We remain fine-free for the duration of the pandemic. Please return items in a timely manner, but don't risk your safety to get to the library during a snow storm! If staff are not reporting, the library's parking lot may not be plowed, so it's safer to hold your materials until the storm passes. Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we work around fickle New England weather.

If in spite of all precautions, you or a loved one is diagnosed with COVID-19, we encourage you to keep materials at home until everyone is healthy and out of quarantine. We are happy to drop off items via our homebound delivery service to help you pass the time as pleasantly as possible - call 508-839-4649 to request this service.

We thank you for wearing a mask on library property, including when returning materials to the book drop and pickup up curbside items.

On a brighter note, vaccines are on the horizon, and museums have slowly begun reopening; we continue to offer our museum pass program. Check out https://graftonlibrary.org/passes/ for the latest on closings for local attractions.

This month we will be celebrating Black History Month through highlighting our diverse physical collections, online collections, and through our virtual programs. OverDrive has a great collection of anti-racism resources; ComicsPlus is featuring Black history and Black voices; Freegal has music with African roots, by Black performers, and even has archived speeches from African-American orators; and general Gale databases are featuring Black history all month. Follow our Facebook page to see our Black History Month spotlight series.

Beth Gallaway,
Library Director
