CISDR Expands To Serve Four New Independent School Districts
As we kick off back-to-school season, CISDR is thankful to be growing exponentially across North Texas. For the 2021-2022 school year, CISDR services are expanding to include Bonham ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, Denison ISD, and Sherman ISD.

"We are so excited to announce that we are expanding into these new districts!" commented Jeannette Papadopoulos, Chief Operations Officer. Papadopoulos believes that this growth is a true testament to the excellent work of our site coordinators. She adds that, "educators and administrators alike are buzzing about how we serve and support our students.”

Students are Struggling to Get School Supplies. Sponsor One Today!
The new school year is kicking off this month, and with families across the Dallas region still recovering from the after-effects of the pandemic, now is the time to give back. The goal of our Adopt a Student program is to ensure that students who are in need of supplies can be sponsored this school year. The Adopt a Student program will help provide uniforms, school supplies, healthy food, and clean water to our students all year long.
McKinney ISD site coordinators Raul Ferrer and Greenville ISD site coordinator Whitney Threatt are the ultimate advocates for their programs. Raul has built a largely self-sustaining donations program over many years, and Whitney recently secured a substantial donation from Build-A-Bear.

While no one can truly know what the 2021-2022 school year will look like as it relates to COVID-19, parents and families must ensure they are helping their students reintegrate into their social environments in a manageable manner.

Three key items that should be at the forefront of every caregivers mind during back-to-school season are to:

  1. Show interest in the student and their personal goals.
  2. Be patient with yourself and others.
  3. Foster resilience in students.
