Musical Theatre Choir Classes
All are invited to the Musical Theatre Classes' production of "High School Musical, Jr."
Performances are Friday night & Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at the High School Auditorium and are free and open to the public.  
7A Class performs Friday
7B Class performs on Saturday.  
All shows are sung, acted, directed, choreographed, costumed, and designed by students.
Coffee with the Principal, January 27
Join Principal Les Bork and Math Department Chair Maddy Wegleitner on Monday, January 27 , from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Middle School. Get an update on our K-12 math redesign process as well as getting answers on other questions you may have about the Middle School.

International Skate Party
IT'S BACK! 
The 12th Annual International Skate Party for SLP 5 - 8th graders! 

Thursday, January 30, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Roller Garden in St. Louis Park 

Hosted by the World Languages Department at the Middle School, we will be playing fun international tunes in multiple languages from around the globe.

Kids can mix and mingle with their future World Language teachers and learn about the languages offered at the Middle School.

Meet us there: Entrance fee is $6.00, bring extra for food and drinks.

We will have a fun mix of international tunes in multiple languages from around the globe! 


Clay Target Shooting Club
There will be a registration meeting for the Clay Target Shooting Club on Thursday, January 30 at 7 p.m. The meeting is at the St. Louis Park Middle School in room 153.

To be eligible for the Clay Target Shooting Club, students must have their firearm safety coursework and their field day experience completed before April 1.

The parent portal will be closed on January 23 at 3:30 p.m. for grading. The parent portal will be available by 3:30 p.m. on January 31.
Important Information for 8th Grade Students and Parents/Guardians
Listed below are important dates regarding the timeline for high school registration:

January 21:   Letter to be mailed to 8th grade parents regarding registration night.

February 9:    Phone blast reminder to Middle School families reminding them about parent information night at the High School Auditorium.

February 10:    Distribute cover letter and registration sheet to all 8th graders in science classes.

February 10:    5 p.m., Parent Informational sessions at the High School Auditorium. The session will be recorded by Park TV. A video presentation will be posted on the High School website following the information sessions if you are unable to attend.        

February 26:   Counselors will meet with 8th graders in the computer lab to present High School information and complete the on-line registration.

Food Drive
Congratulations to Ms. Haugo's Advisory for donating the most items during this year's food drive. They will be celebrating with a donut party on Friday, January 31.  
Math Volunteer
Gary Preston is being recognized as our volunteer of the week. Mr. Preston supports our students learning math 6 in Ms. Leonard's 4th and 5th hour classes every week. Thank you for your efforts.

7th Graders , WorldStrides is currently running a late registration campaign for kids who are interested but haven't registered yet! There is also some FLAG Scholarship money still available ( please contact WorldStrides for scholarship details , the scholarship is not related to St. Louis Park Middle School). Here's how you can register or get more information:
