Dear Friends,

As many of you know when not traveling or spending winters in Florida, our home is in Nyack NY. More " B ohemian" according to a 2019 NY Times article than Westchester across the Hudson River. "There is an enduring legacy of writers, painters, actors, filmmakers and musicians". It was the home to artist Edward Hopper "one of the most important realist painter of twentieth-century America" and Helen Hayes “First Lady of American Theatre” .

My mother told me stories about how she and my father would come up from Greenwich Village to Nyack in the 1940's to visit the galleries, antique shops, outdoor cafes etc.

Last month I flew up to NY for the installation of my mother's hanging starbursts sculptures in the beautiful and historic Nyack library which celebrated it's 140th year anniversary in 2019. I know she would be honored that her hanging starbursts are on display at the public library in Nyack.

On March 19th the Nyack Library will have " An Evening with Dorothy". I have been invited to give a talk and show a 12 minute film titled "Dorothy in Her Own Words". Following the film will be a Women in Art Panel Discussion.

Regards,
Gary
