SENIOR PORTRAITS
If you have not had your senior picture taken, upload a portrait to eShare with the school code 7435 so it may be placed in the yearbook. Deadline to submit is Friday, Feb. 12. Follow the detailed instructions for taking a portrait here.
 
CSF CLASS OF 2022
As a junior member of California Scholarship Federation, you will be automatically added to the CSF Team for Board applicants if you have been a member of CSF every semester so far. If you choose to apply for an elected office, please follow the guidelines on the notice. If you do not want to apply for an elected office, do not respond. Deadline to turn in applications is this Friday, Feb. 5. Email Mrs. Okamoto at [email protected] with questions and information.
 
READY FOR ROMANCE BOOK CLUB
Brighten this dreary winter with a light-hearted rom-com. Stay Sweet by Siobhan Vivian is the first book in the Ready for Romance Book Club. Despite the title, it's not a cotton candy confection. Members will meet virtually around Valentine's Day to share their observations and ice cream.
 
PTSA BOOK CLUB
Meet with Panther families to discuss The Color of Law at the first PTSA Book Club meeting on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 9:00 to 10:30 am on Zoom. The Color of Law details how federal housing policies in the 1940s and 1950s mandated segregation and hindered Black families from buying their own homes. Shereen Walter, Director of Legislation for the state PTA and Carol Kocivar, past president of the California PTA and current legislative advocate are the guest facilitators. Register here.

COLLEGE ESSENTIALS TOOLKIT SERIES
"Show Me the Money: Tips, Secrets and Strategies to Get More Money for College" is the topic for the next College Essential Toolkit virtual series on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 pm. Ms. Stephanie Hancock, founder of College Aid Consulting, will review various aspects of financial aid. FREE PRACTICE S.A.T & A.C.T. TESTS
Mark your calendars juniors and sophomores-there is a free, full length practice SAT test on February 20 and a free, full length practice ACT test on March 6. Both tests are proctored and virtual and begin promptly at 9:00 am. Students may sign up for one or both tests. Register here or go to the CCC pages on Pen's website. A confirmation email will be sent the week of the test.

The Pediatric Therapy Network Athletic Association club Zoom meeting is TODAY at 12:15 pm. If you are interested in sports and helping children with special needs, this is the club for you. KICK ASH COALITION

STUDENTS DEMAND ACTION
This is National Gun Violence Survivors Week and the Students Demand Action club wants to share this information: More than half, 58%, of American adults, including someone they care for, have personally experienced gun violence in their lifetimes. Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens in the United States. The focus of National Gun Violence Survivors Week is to share survivors' stores and encourage allies to amplify their voices. Read, share, and uplift survivors' voices here.
 
AMC
If you signed up for TOMORROW'S (Feb. 4th ) American Math Competition 10 or 12 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, you must also register for the test through the AoPS platform. Detailed instructions were sent to all participants in an email from [email protected] on Jan. 18th. Please refer to that email and register for the AMC through the AoPS platform as soon as possible or you will not be able to compete. Email [email protected] with any questions.
