Finally, we invite ALL Monarchs, returning and new, to our Back to School Picnic on Sunday, August 15th. Details will be coming later this summer regarding the logistics of this event so for now, just SAVE THE DATE!

PSO NEWS
PSO Activities Poll Open until June 30th
This is the final week to take the PSO's survey of what activities interest you and your family for the next school year, if you have not completed it already. The poll will close at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, June 30th. It only takes a minute to check the boxes of the events you would be interested in attending. New families are encouraged to take the poll too, whether you were new this year or are entering the school in the 2021-22 academic year. There is a write-in section at the bottom to suggest new events you'd like to see at StMM!
Volunteers Needed
Are you interested in chairing a PSO committee? We'd love your help! We have two positions open now, and more to come this summer. Please email PSO President Molly Pryzwansky (mollypryz@hotmail.com) if you are interested in volunteering for these roles.
Used Uniform Store
The PSO is seeking two organized parents to run the Used Uniform Store beginning this summer and for the next school year. It's a fun job to share with a friend! This role is best for parents who are available to come occasionally to campus during the day. The position involves sorting, organizing and displaying uniform donations; maintaining the store area; and setting up and organizing uniform BOGO sales (typically, one in Fall and one in Spring). The former chairs will offer guidance and support!
Cultural Arts
StMM participates in the Artists in Schools Grant Program from the United Arts Council ("UAC") of Raleigh to bring various artists to our campus! We are seeking one parent to serve as the Cultural Arts Representative to the UAC. This parent will attend one mandatory training session from the UAC and the Artists in Schools Expo, where they will select artists to visit StMM during the school year!  See the available dates here in August for the training session and Expo - weekend dates are also available to accommodate working parents. Grant paperwork is due to UAC by Wednesday, September 15th. Previous StMM reps will be available for help and support. This is a great opportunity for a creative parent, a working parent who is not otherwise available to volunteer during the school day, or a parent who is looking for a shorter-term volunteering activity that won't last all school year.  Previous performers have included Flamenco dancers, opera singers, a digeridoo player, and ballet dancers - what would you pick?
