A message from Rev. David Wynn

Agape Community, Pentecost is this Sunday and we wanted to invite you to engage the spiritual practice of coloring. This meditative and creative ritual can open space to explore the things that have changed and are changing in your life. Pentecost is all about the moments when we wake up to the Spirit and how she is shaping our days and journeys. We would love it if you would screen shot and post your creations either here in the comments or maybe on Sunday when you tune in for the service. May you walk (and color) in beauty and balance.

COVID-19 Community Gathering Update
from your Board of Directors

Community Corner
Mindfulness : a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations.

Mindfulness…sounds easy, right!?!

No, it does not sound easy. It does, however, sound worth an honest effort.

The next few weeks “Community Corner” will focus on self-care. This current season of our lives has opened our eyes. We have come to realize our control is very limited. We have control over what we think , what we visualize and how we respond . We, as a caring community, should desire to think positive , visualize greatness (manifest destiny) and respond with kindness
Begin with the basics, breathing .
Try it. You might like it.
We are hosting our mid-week social online this coming Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 6:30PM.

Spirit of the Living God, may Your Presence strengthen us in our journey forward, that we may be bearers of Your Love to those who seek to know You through us.

Resurrected Christ, grant us the courage to face the challenges of life with a faith and hope You have shown us.

Holy Spirit, unseen Force that inspires the human heart to see beyond their own needs; encourage us to continue working for the greater good.

May our faith shift our eyes from the sky to the streets.

May our hope help all people feel accepted and included.

May our love reach out to the most vulnerable, marginalized, hungry, thirsty, naked, sick and imprisoned.

As we journey towards restoration and healing, may we learn to heal ourselves so that we can heal others, for we cannot give that which we do not have.

Great Spirit of Comfort, Compassion and Mercy, help us to learn from the lessons of today so that we may build a stronger foundation tomorrow.

This we pray in the name of the Resurrected Christ. Hallelujah. Amen.
