We May Be in Purple, But We Are Seeing
Red!
As California emerges out of lockdown and Santa Barbara transitions back into the Purple Tier, not much changes for what Dance Studios are able to do in terms of going back inside! We are loving that we are still able to offer Weekly Outdoor Options as well as Zoom Classes! As the days get longer we will try to add as many more outdoor options as possible. Please refer to our schedules on our website for class times. We have an outdoor class schedule, as well as Zoom class schedules and Zoom code reference schedule.
Heading into rainy season, our plan is always to cancel outdoor classes and resume all the normal online classes for that day! Please email us with any questions. We know it gets confusing with all the transitions of classes, online, outdoor etc!

Season 7 Company Concert Saturday, February 13th
An outdoor Company Concert? Let's do it! With Santa Barbara still in the purple tier we will host our annual company concert outdoors on
Saturday, February 13th at 3:30.

Dress Rehearsal will take place on Friday, February 12th from 3:00-6:30 pm.

All companies, Evolve, Thrive, Breakthrough, Junior Company, Teen Company and Senior Company will perform their Competitive Routines for our film crew to create a magical Company Concert on film this year.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to have an audience to view the show and due to lack of internet outside we will not be able to have a high quality live stream of the event.

Not to worry! You will be able to watch the performance after the fact with the purchase of beautiful video of the show filmed and edited by Spencer Saltzman and the Forseen Media team!

Company members please watch inboxes this week for your dress rehearsal call times and schedule for the week of the show!!

We will be closed Monday, February 15th in observance of Presidents Day

Enjoy the day off with friends and family on Monday, February 15th. We know SBUSD is closed Friday, February 12th, but we will be open for Outdoor Classes and our Company Concert Dress Rehearsal. We will
see you back at dance on Tuesday, February 16th.
Outdoor Class Options
We are so pumped to continue to bring you more and more Outdoor /In person class options while Santa Barbara remains in the purple tier. Remember if you are currently taking a style of dance that has an outdoor option you are able to come to the in person class and do not need to register for the in person option. All outdoor classes take place at Garden Street Academy 2300 Garden Street. Classes for February are:
Monday 3:30-4:30 Hip Hop Flip Flop
Tuesday 3:30-4:30 - Hip Hop (ages 7-11)
Wednesday 3:30-4:30- Hip Hop (ages 12+)
Thursday 3:30-4:30 Acro (all ages)
Friday 3:30-4:30 Ballet (all ages)
Friday 4:30-5:30 Jazz (all ages)
Saturday 10:00-10:45 TWIRL (ages 3-5)

As we head into a new year we are also thinking ahead (as much as we can) to our June Shows. We are uncertain in what capacity we will be performing our shows, however we ARE certain that they will be performed somehow on the days listed above. Please save and reserve these dates for the future and stay tuned for updated and information.

We are splitting our recreational classes into Juniors and Seniors so that everyone gets a chance to perform in front of friends and family.

Please note that all company dancers will be dancing in ALL FOUR Performances.

Rainbow Dance Competition March 19-21
Burbank, CA
We are still slated to compete at our first dance competition in over a year next month!


We feel confident in all of our preparation to move forward with attending Rainbow Dance Competition with our Breakthrough & Competitive Companies next month.

With no audience, outdoor dressing rooms, no awards ceremonies and only one studio in attendance at a time, we feel Rainbow is a great way to compete this year! If you are feeling uneasy about your dancer's first competition in the time of COVID, please head over to the Rainbow Website to take a look at all they are doing to make sure our dancers stay safe and healthy while attending their event!
