Your Weekly Kingsley Update | November 5th
Wrapping Up Another Great Month

What a fantastic Halloween party our community enjoyed last week! THANK YOU to Amy Ditchman and Charlene Fox for their work on the party side with the food, dancing and games as well as to Stephanie Daugherity and Tim Ditchman for putting together the Haunted Hallway - and thanks as well to the dozens of volunteers who made it all come together! We want to thank teacher/make up artist extraordinaire, Alyssa Zuravel, for all that she did as well. It was such a fun evening!

If you have any photos from the event, please email them to kingsleyelementaryyearbook@gmail.com.

Traffic Reminder

Prairie Ave is one-way going north before and after school. Parking is allowed facing north on the west side of the street during pickup and drop off. There is no need to turn around to park on the west side of the street.

Please do not go south on Prairie or use the alleys to turn around - it disrupts the flow of traffic creating traffic backups, and is very dangerous to children and families trying to cross the street.

If you need a quick exit after school, it is suggested to not use Prairie or Colfax to pick up your child as it can get backed up due to coinciding with the Haven dismissal. There are other side streets within a short walk that you can park on or have your child walk to meet you.

We want all of our children, families and crossing guards to be safe. Please follow the traffic laws set forth by the City of Evanston.
5Essentials Survey

5Essentials parent survey has opened!

District 65 is once again participating in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The survey is now open for parents and will open for staff and students on December 10th. The parent survey is to be completed by parents, guardians, or other caregivers with a child in grades prekindergarten through 12. It is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Parents who have more than one child who attends the same school may elect to participate multiple times. We recommend that parents who have children enrolled in multiple schools participate in the survey for each school. Only one parent per household may participate in the survey.
