This month, DMSAS employee Timothy Farina was selected to participate in the
Institute of Classical Architecture and Art’s Educational Travel Program
in Paris, France. The dual focus of the course was to foster an understanding of the classical heritage of Paris and to expand the abilities of architectural representation though watercolor. A rigorous schedule including both lectures and site visits explored the interrelated topics of history, urbanism, building typology, and ornament. After the ICAA tour concluded, Timothy continued to Rome on Invitation to visit the Papal Palace and Gardens as well as the private rehearsal spaces of the Sistine chapel choir.
