Are you a Good Neighbour?
New Good Neighbour Bylaw Coming
A new Good Neighbour Bylaw was brought before Committee of the Whole on September 14 and will soon be brought to Town Council for first reading.

We all want to be good neighbours and have good neighbours in High River. The Good Neighbour Bylaw is exactly what is sounds like. It combines several bylaws into one, promoting respectful behaviour amongst people in High River.

In 2019, residents were asked for feedback about this and other bylaws that required updating. Listening to resident concerns, this Bylaw provides updates, clarity and a greater ability to enforce rules related to excessive noise that disturbs the peace, snow and debris removal on sidewalks and property maintenance.

Noise Regulations address excessive noise that disturbs the peace. Snow and debris removal on sidewalks by owners and occupants ensures pedestrian safety. Property Maintenance requires premises be kept in good repair, free of hazards and are not unsightly. Ensure that litter, flyers and airborne nuisances do not affect your neighbours.
