STEM Opportunities for Students
Craven Community College is excited to announce three awesome events that are happening this spring/summer!
April Fools but Science Rules:
This event is geared towards getting kids interested in science. On Saturday, April 2nd, we are inviting the community to come out and join us in some hands-on interactive STEM activities. The event is open to everyone and free! This event will be a part of the NC Science Festival, a month-long, statewide celebration of science in North Carolina. The festival aims to spread science education through exciting, educational, fun, hands-on science events. The NC Science Festival is much more than just one science event; it is an entire month of fun from April 1-30. Craven CC- Havelock is proud to have been selected as the only Craven County festival event host.
Middle School Engineering Camp:
Craven Community College, in partnership with the Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation, will be offering a week-long, non-residential summer day camp for middle school students (current 6th, 7th, and 8th graders) on the Craven CC- Havelock campus. Elementary School Engineering Camp:
The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation with support from the City of Havelock will be offering a weeklong, non-residential summer day camp for elementary school students (rising 4th, 5th, and 6th graders) at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center.
