EL DORADO COUNTY NOW ORANGE |
|
Sacramento - Today Governor Gavin Newsom and El Dorado County's Public Health Officer, Dr. Nancy Williams announced that El Dorado County has met the requirements to move from red to orange in the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
At a minimum, counties must remain in a tier for at least 3 weeks before moving forward. To move forward, a county must meet the next tier’s criteria for two consecutive weeks. Public health officials are constantly monitoring data and can step in if necessary.

Explore 95762+: We are celebrating small businesses with our Small Biz November program "Explore 95762+" a simple and fun way to encourage locals to dine, drink, shop and experience what our region has to offer.
Locals will visit/tag participating businesses from November 1st - November 30th on social media for a chance to win prizes!

GOVERNOR SIGNS LAWS FOR COMPANIES ON COVID-19 REPORTING & WORKERS' COMP |

The Sacramento Bee - SB 1159 and AB 685 were signed into law on September 17, 2020. Employers must give the notice within one business day of finding out that their subcontractor at the worksite or employees has tested positive or is ordered to self-isolate. Article by Jeong Park

FREE PPE Supplies: El Dorado County businesses and nonprofits with 25 or fewer employees may receive FREE face masks (50 per box) and hand sanitizers (16.9 oz) per employee/staff.

HARASSMENT TRAINING: We have partnered with the California Chamber of Commerce to bring you required California Harassment Prevention Training. Under the new law, SB 778, all employees, supervisory and non-supervisory, must be trained by January 1, 2021.
BUSINESS LICENSING: Remember to keep your business license current, whether you are home-based, remote, or in-person.

Why: Your help is needed and greatly appreciated to collect 3 tons of healthy food for those food insecure in El Dorado County. This is a youth-planned event from Hands4Hope - Youth Making a Difference.
