Often, we think what’s the big deal with a little envy? It’s not really hurting anyone is it? After all, it’s just a flicker of resentment towards someone who has what we wish we had. The truth is, envy can be destructive. It may start small, but then breeds and grows in the dark places of our heart. James calls envy demonic because it has its roots in Satan. And it has no place in the church. Yet there’s evidence of it all throughout the pages of the Bible. Sunday, we will look at an example from the early church. Quarreling and division have broken out in the church at Corinth over who’s the best leader and preacher. Join us Sunday as we study Paul’s response to this divisive behavior and why our response should be the same.
