HAPPY DOGS MAKE TAIL WAGGING SWEET SERVICE DOGS
Dear SDiT Layla..."That intuition of yours is something that sets you apart. It's one of many things that will make you an incredible service dog. You caught on to new commands in record time. You were always so happy and eager to learn. You had endless patience with everything from training missteps to silly photoshoots. Your zest for life and your silly antics spread smiles everywhere we went. You brought light into our lives. While the world felt like it was turning upside down, you were my constant. I know you're gonna continue to make us so so proud. While our chapter together has ended, your story is just beginning..." Your Puppy Raiser Alysia, June 16, 2021.

Greetings!
First, thank you for being such an amazing community! We could not do it alone; your financial contributions, time, and support make everything possible.

We have had so much PAWsitively awesome forward momentum since we last wrote. This week, SDiT Layla joined SDiTs Roxy and Yogi for her next level of training. Our amazing Puppy Raiser, Alysia, and Layla spent a fabulous day at Disneyland before transferring to our sensational Service Dog Trainer and Animal Behaviorist, Anna. These three poodles are making huge strides towards transferring to their handlers. Roxy is learning retrieval and tasking skills, Yogi is working on tasking skills, and Layla is perfecting her tasking. The best part, all three poodles get to "just be dogs" together as they run, play, and enjoy the grassy outdoors!

We are tickled to be working with some wonderful students and faculty around the USA! In Pasadena, at Westridge School, MobilityDog has been invited to work with the high school's mentorship program, PTL, in the category of underserved communities. MobilityDog is pleased to be part of Pennsylvania's Muhlenberg College Summer Stride Project. MobilityDog has been actively involved with the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program at St. Augustine School of Allied Health, teaching the important role these students have in transitioning service dogs to their disabled handlers. Lastly, MobilityDog is the focus of a doctoral thesis project! Each of these opportunities allows for so many possibilities to educate, advocate and empower. We are honored.

In America, vaccination rates are increasing daily, the world is opening back up, and that wanderlust feeling is real. So are you ready to spread your wings and look out a plane window again? In July, MobilityDog is partnering with AMFund to raise funds and awareness for the disabled community. Calendar July 11th through 18th to bid for the trip of your dreams!
