  • A Profile of the Arcus Foundation's Andy Marra
    Andy Marra, Communications Manager for the Arcus Foundation, speaks about finding her identity as an adoptee, reuniting with her birth mother, and coming out to her birth mother as transgender.
Requests for Proposals
  • New York City AIDS Fund
    The AIDS Fund is looking to build upon its lecture series and by offering a more intensive HIV/AIDS Service Community Learning Lab.  Ten to twelve organizations will be chosen to join the Learning Lab and receive a grant of $5,000. Proposals are due April 28.
  • New York Community Trust
    Applications are now available for the 2014 New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards. Applications are due May 2.
  • The Adam Foundation
    The Adam Foundation will start accepting grant applications for its 2014 grants cycle on February 28.  AF is looking for projects both big and small that will impact the Triad LGBTQ community.  The deadline for submitting is April 30.

Recent Grant Award Announcements

  • Arcus Foundation
    The Arcus Foundation has announced its spring 2014 social justice grants.
  • The Jim Collins Foundation
    The Jim Collins Foundation has announced a record number of grantees for its 2014 cycle. From over 300 applicants, the Jim Collins Foundation will fund three gender-confirming surgeries for transgender individuals.  
  • San Diego Human Dignity Foundation
    San Diego Human Dignity Foundation has awarded two grants totaling $32,000 to Stepping Stone of San Diego for a nationally acclaimed residential drug-and-alcohol-addiction treatment program targeting the LGBT community and people living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Human Rights Campaign
    HRC has awarded an additional $40,000 to the Russian Freedom Fund - the sum of all donations made to the "Love Conquers Hate" campaign.
  • Amazon
    Amazon has renewed a $25,000 grant to the Lambda Literary Foundation to support the Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBT voices.
  • Rockefeller Foundation
    The Rockefeller Foundation has awarded a month-long writing residency to Dr. Scout to focus on trans health policy.
  • Groundswell Fund
    Groundswell Fund has announced more than $2 million in grants for 2014, including grant awards to several organizations working at the intersections of reproductive justice and LGBTQ issues, such as Affinity Community Services, Faith Aloud, FIERCE, New Voices Pittsburgh, SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW, Sylvia Rivera Law Project, and Women with a Vision.
