CCSD93 strives to maximize the academic, social & emotional potential of each student.
|
|
Dear Friend of CCSD93,
Messages From
Superintendent Hill:
|
Sunday, November 15 is School Board Members Day in Illinois.
I wish to take this opportunity to publicly express my gratitude to CCSD93’s School Board members, whose dedication to our children and our community is inspiring.
As unpaid elected officials, they each devote hundreds of hours of their own time every year preparing for and participating in a variety of committee and School Board meetings. They formulate policy, approve financial operations and curriculum, evaluate programs, establish the school year, and more. They make difficult decisions on behalf of our stakeholders, and this year especially have faced scenarios and circumstances that no school board members have ever encountered before.
|
|
Their governance has shaped CCSD93 into a high quality, forward-thinking school district that's preparing students for whatever their futures may hold. They are a primary reason that CCSD93 is able to maximize the academic, social emotional potential of each student.
Our community continues to be incredibly fortunate to have a School Board composed entirely of individuals whose primary decision-making lens is providing our students with the most effective and relevant educational experiences. Each of our seven Board members make decisions based on what is best for children, while staying mindful of the resources provided by our community.
I am grateful for their leadership. Please join me in thanking CCSD93's School Board members!

Please Continue to Report Positive Student Cases to Schools
As CCSD93 seeks to return to in-person learning as soon we are able to safely and effectively from an operational standpoint, parents are asked to continue to reach out to their child’s school and share any positive student COVID-19 cases. This helps CCSD93 to best understand how the virus is impacting our local community.
Thank You, CCSD93 Nurses
To that end, I want to express a personal note of thanks to CCSD93’s nurses. They have worked tirelessly with parents, their school’s staff and administrators, and the DuPage County Health Department to track positive cases, contact trace, and communicate with those impacted. They have led difficult conversations while providing resources and accurate information. Each school’s registered nurse, as well as CCSD93’s certified school nurses, stay up-to-date on the latest public health guidance and their contributions have been integral to CCSD93’s operations this year.
Quarantine vs. Isolation
One point of confusion we and other districts have noticed among community members is the difference between quarantine and isolation, and the proper protocols for each. Please review this image to better understand each.

Help Keep Our Community Safe
For the health and safety of all, and to contribute to an atmosphere conducive to returning in-person learning, I once again appeal to our entire community to please continue to take to heart the generally accepted guidance of washing your hands regularly, wearing a mask, and watching your distance in all interactions in your personal lives. I ask that you please consider this guidance as you plan holiday travel and gatherings.
