Getting back to work: A toolkit for re-opening

We have formed a Back To Work Task Force with representatives from City of Puyallup, City of Sumner, Pierce County, our state legislature, Puyallup Main Street Association, Sumner Downtown Promotion Association and business leaders. One of the resources we're rolling out is a Back To Work Toolkit that has been adopted by several Chambers of Commerce around the Puget Sound area.

This toolkit is a joint project led by Madrona Venture Group along with the Seattle Venture Community, based on experiences working with area businesses that can be customized to suit individual business needs.

We have included the toolkit downloads on our website, along with updates from our task force and other relevant information, at puyallupsumnerchamber.com/backtowork.

Pierce County COVID-19 Emergency Small Business Relief Loan

Pierce County is still accepting applications for their Small Business Relief Loans, which have been opened up to businesses that are not in unincorporated county areas.

Our Chip In With the Chamber program, which has been dedicated to delivering meals to local heroes serving the community during the pandemic, is making a pivot toward supporting local, small business owners forge a path toward re-opening.

In order to re-open safely, as our state moves through a phased approach to re-opening, small businesses will need to navigate a variety of issues, adjust procedures, and obtain PPE, cleaning, and other equipment.

When you chip in and support this effort, 100% of your donations will go toward these efforts. We have already procured some supplies that we plan to distribute and we hope to purchase more.

If you're able, we invite you to chip in at puyallupsumnerchamber.com/chip-in
