Happy New Year to everyone! Aslan continues to move in 2020 as we are already off to a fast start and not planning to look back...here we go.
We are getting excited about our upcoming Annual Banquet, which will take place on Saturday, April 4, at the Annapolis Doubletree Hotel. Adding to the usual anticipation is the news that our speaker will be Dr. Jim Houston, co-founder of the C.S. Lewis Institute. At a surprisingly young 97 years of age, Dr. Houston will certainly bring a sense of vigor and perspective to the goings-on in Annapolis. More information will follow in the coming weeks.
Our College Associates are gearing up for their spring semester with some great readings from wonderful authors such as Os Guinness, Randy Newman, and C.S. Lewis (naturally!). The SJC students are also returning after some wonderful Christmas fellowship as seen in the images above. Please continue to keep these wonderful young hearts in your prayers as they remain committed to deepening their relationships with Jesus.
Our Year 2 Fellows are also diving into deep waters of their faith journey as they consider the power of the Holy Spirit and His influence in all aspects of the believer's life. I wish you could see the beauty of their fellowship and the depth of engagement with this curriculum, but there is a way to do exactly that for yourself! Would you like to know more? Read on...
The application window for the 2020-21 Fellows Program in Annapolis will open on February 1 and we expect to have a full Year 1 class beginning their studies in the late spring. We would love for past Fellows to prayerfully consider any friends who you think may be willing and able to commit to the intensive course of study and encourage them to think about applying for the program. More information is available at
http://www.cslewisinstitute.org/Fellows_Program and you can certainly have anyone
contact me for details.
Our pastors are also gathering in a few weeks for their quarterly luncheon. These gatherings are intended to provide some rest for those who consistently shepherd us, as well as opening an opportunity to give and receive the prayer and support that is essential in sustaining such ministries. We are so thankful for these dedicated men and women who walk alongside us!
Our cup truly runs over because of the ways you all bless us. Please continue to keep all of our ministry areas in your prayers as well as considering any other material or personal support you can provide. We are all in this together!
