Spring is on its way! We have a lot of exciting things in store for the month, including a watercolor class with Carol Bruno and after school crafts with Ms. Danya. See below for details!

Adult Programming
Watercolor Class with Carol Bruno
We're so excited to have Carol Bruno back to teach us all about painting with watercolors! This class will be focused on painting tulips - perfect for this time of year! Register by calling us at 732-747-9649. Please sign up for only one session. Limited spots available.
Easy Care Annuals
Master Gardener Irene Wanat will present information all about annuals. How do you care for annuals? Where should you plant them in your garden? Which are annuals are best for planters? Ms. Wanat will enlighten you with her extensive knowledge on the subject of annuals. 

This discussion will be conducted on Zoom and is free of charge. You may register here!

The Master Gardeners are dedicated to educating the citizens of Monmouth County by offering interesting and informative horticultural presentations. Raising awareness in our community ensures that Monmouth County continues to be a beautiful and environmentally green place to live and work.
StoryWalk®
At Sickles Park Playground!
Visit our new StoryWalk® book, "When Spring Comes" by Kevin Henkes at Sickles Park playground! Little Silver Library has collaborated with Little Silver Recreation to bring another StoryWalk® book to our community! StoryWalk® is a way for children to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. 

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.  
New Nature Backpack!
There's so much nature right here in town and in the county so we've created two nature watching backpacks for patrons to borrow! Each backpack includes a pair of kid-friendly binoculars, several nature field guides and a map to local trails. Stop in to check it out!

Celebrate DIA this month! Diversity in Action…
with All Around This World!

Enjoy a unique, interactive music concert that incorporates global melodies, rhythm, and movement for the whole family to enjoy presented by Jay Sand of All Around This World. “ Travel” the globe with singing and dancing with music from around the world.

Advance registration is required beginning April 9 on the Kids page of the Monmouth County Library website. The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants the day before the event. Can’t make it? Watch on-demand on the Monmouth County Library’s Kids page.

  • Due to limited space, registration for Storytime is mandatory each week, starting the Thursday prior to Tuesday Storytime, by calling the library at 732-747-9649.
  • Drop-ins will not be admitted unless there is available space.
  • Please call if you are unable to attend.
  • Please choose only 1 session per week.
  • Thank you for social distancing.
NEW! Family Fun Storytime will now be doing crafts every week!

Non-Fiction/History Book Club
The Non-Fiction/History Book Club will meet at the library on Monday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm. The group will be discussing “Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgement” by Daniel Kahneman. You may contact the library at 732-747-9649 to borrow a copy of the book!
