Here's My Story: My Experience with Sexual Violence - Sexual Violence continues to permeate our culture. Survivors and those who support them experience the long lasting impacts of trauma. Through storytelling we can showcase self agency, hope, and healing. Join Luther employees and students as they share their stories and offer a discussion around sexual violence. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 7:00 p.m., CFL Recital Hall. Luther Break Shuttles  - There is still time to buy tickets for fall break shuttles! Shuttles to Rochester/Minneapolis, Madison/Rockford, Cedar Rapids/IA City, and Ames/Ankeny depart on Friday, Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m. Shuttle to Chicago departs on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 a.m. Ticket deadline is 96 hrs before departure. Sustainability Coffee & Conversation and Sustainable-TEA - The Center for Sustainable Communities is kicking off its first Sustainable-TEA and Coffee & Conversation events of the year this October. Sustainable-TEA will be Oct. 17, 5:30 -7:00 p.m. outside the caf, and Coffee & Conversation on Oct. 29 during shadow block. Bring a mug and get FREE coffee or tea, pick out some cool sustainability stickers, and chat with some sustainability educators about spooky recycling contamination and scary waste! 

Anthropology Lecture - At 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in Olin 102, Colin Betts, professor of anthropology, will be delivering a lecture, "Using Remote Sensing to Study Iowa's Effigy Mounds," in recognition of Iowa Archaeology Month and International Archaeology Day. This presentation will discuss Luther's ongoing research project that is employing several non-destructive remote sensing techniques capable of 'looking' beneath the ground surface to advance our current understanding of the mounds.

Democratic Debate Watch Party - The Luther College Democrats will be hosting a debate watch party on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. in Valders 206. The event is free of charge, and all are welcome to come to Valders 206 to watch the democratic debate live on October 15th!

Luther College Rochester Shuttle - Senate is planning a regular shuttle to Rochester for students.  Fill out this form   to select your preferred times and dates for the shuttle to operate if the services is provided.

All Saints Chapel  will be Friday, Nov. 1, 10:30 - 10:50 a.m. in the CFL. This annual All Saints Chapel is an opportunity to gather as a community to celebrate the joy of new life and grieve the loss of loved ones. We include name(s)  of immediate family/household members who are born or adopted in the past year and those who have passed away since Nov. 1, 2018.   Please send names to College Ministries office so we can include them in our All Saints Chapel bulletin. Send names or questions via email to  ministry@luther.edu  or by phone  ( 563)387-1040 .

Phonathon Work-Study Job - The Development Office is seeking engaging students for Phonathon Caller positions. Applicants must be committed sophomores, juniors or seniors who want to enhance their communication skills and gain unique experience for their resumé. Hours are in the evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., but flexible.
