A Note From Pastor Joanna Mitchell
January 9, 2021

Dear Grace Friends,

I hope you are all well. I need to let you know that Pastor Maria Markman tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. She has a fever and is achy with a dry cough, but thus far says if she can keep her fever under control she is doing okay, just very tired. I hope that you will join me in praying for her.

Because Pastor Maria has had interactions with other members of the staff within 48 hours of her testing positive, we need to cancel events for this weekend. While, we most likely had a low exposure, we are erring on the side of caution and will not have our Connection Sunday which includes the Baptismal Event or Tom Baker’s Retirement Party either. We plan to reschedule for a later time that is yet to be determined. Sunday was also a time to pick up supplies for Sunday School and Holy Communion. If you need supplies, they are ready and available, please call the church office to pick them up.

For now, the staff that have been in close-contact with Pastor Maria are quarantining. I will let you know as soon as possible about other events like next weekend’s in-person worship. There is a reopen team meeting already scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Please join me in prayer:
God of healing, we ask for you to be with Pastor Maria and with all people currently infected by COVID 19.   Bring healing, relief, and an end to this virus. Thank you for all the health care workers, who day after day putting themselves at risk and have provided such wonderful care. Be with our church at this time of waiting as we long to be together and also care deeply about the spiritual, mental and physical health of one another. Lift us up and remind us that you are with us in all things. We pray this in Jesus’s name.
Amen

Blessings,

Pastor Joanna Mitchell
