C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a classic of children’s literature, but it is also meaningful for Christians of all ages because of the powerful themes in the novel that resonate with our faith – despair and hope, sin and redemption. Heidi Haverkamp’s Advent in Narnia: Reflections for the Season weaves together aspects of the book with passages from Scripture to provide meditations on the Season of Advent.
Join us this Advent for a journey into the enchanted world of Narnia. We will have four weekly forums on Mondays, November 30, December 7, 14 and 21 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Advent in Narnia. The sessions will be offered both in-person and online.
Click here to order the book.
If you are joining in-person, bring a mask and meet in the Parish Hall. To join online, click here.

If you would like to suggest yourself or another parishioner for a three-year-term on the governing body of St. Mary's, please submit your suggestion by clicking here.
In order to serve on the Vestry, a person must be an adult communicant member and a financial contributor. Other important qualities in a Vestry member include a history of active participation in parish life and ministry and a pattern of personal prayer. Familiarity with business and/or financial processes is often helpful as well.
Suggestions are not nominations, so it is not necessary to get the person’s permission or verify their qualifications. The Nominating Committee will reach out to qualified individuals and finalize a slate of candidates to be presented to the parish at the Annual Meeting to be held at the beginning of next year. This year's Nominating Committee includes Fr. Charles Everson, Sylvia Rose Augustus, Sharon Hunter-Putsch, and Betty Iorg.
Please prayerfully consider suggesting yourself or someone else for these important positions in the life of the parish. Nominations must be received by Friday, December 4, 2020.
