The
Wave
November 22, 2019
Happy Friday! It is hard to believe term one is over and we are a third of the way through the year. I am continually amazed by how much our staff and students are able to teach and learn throughout a term. It has been a term of great growth! Thank you for all of your support at home as we start term two!

We are thankful we get to partner with each and every one of you. Our staff wishes the entire TRCS community a fantastic Thanksgiving. We will not be sending a Wave newsletter next week. Enjoy the time off from school and the time spent with friends and family! See you on the 2nd of December!

Participation forms are due on December 4th and we will be announcing on December 6th. All UNWRAPPED gifts are due to the school with the provided labels on them by December 12th. Gifts will be distributed by the committee over the week of December 16th-20th.
Our very own 4th grader Natalie Katko, is performing in the Nutcracker Ballet at the Keller Auditorium. We have an opportunity to attend the show on Friday December 20th at 2:00 pm for a special reduced price of $18 per ticket. We may even have a chance for a back stage tour. Oregon Department of Education has released the school report cards for the 2018-19 school year. You can view the  TRCS Report Card  and the  WLWV Report Card. We are pleased to announce that we are among the highest rated schools in the state of Oregon!
Our Pajama Drive to support Bl oomin' Bouti que , continues when we return from break through Friday, December 13th. Our school-wide goal is to collect 250 pairs of new pajamas children's sizes newborn all the way up to size 7/8. We hope you can help us meet this goal!
Here's our November Bottle Drop update! We are up nearly $75 since our last check-in at the end of October, which puts us at $409. Thank you to those who keep leaving blue bags at drop-off or pickup! Think of the TRCS Bottle Drop Drive as Thanksgiving approaches! Splurge on that fancy root beer for the kids, or consider sparkling water by the can for your guests! Please make sure to rinse your cans and bottles, fill your bags completely (there's a line on most bags), and to tie off the bags so they're secure.
Anxiety 102 - Join us for a parent night! Guest speakers, Social Workers Sarah Hiatt, LCSW and Brittany Bucholz, LCSW, will facilitate an interactive evening with parent discussion and practice to support your child. This event builds upon the basics shared at Anxiety 101 parent education night, but is open to all to attend. Parents are encouraged to come to any night that works even if it is not at their child's school. Learn more.
