UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
By Brother Craigwell
“May the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!” (2 Thess. 3:16) Paul’s parting words to the Thessalonians should come as a reminder to all of us today, as we try to stay positive and uplifted through this pandemic. It has been weeks since we have been able to come together as a community and worship together. As we do our best to encourage and lift each other’s spirits while being socially distant from one another, there are some spiritual activities we all should be doing until the ban is lifted.

PRAISE GOD CONTINUALLY : “Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” (Heb. 13: 15-16)

When we can praise God in all our circumstances (favorable or unfavorable) we are acknowledging Him as our Lord and Master and that our trust is always in Him who is always worthy to be praised!

PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER FERVENTLY : “Pray for one another.... the effective fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much. (James 5: 16 - NKJV). Our fervent prayers for one another accomplishes much and has great results for those in need of healing, strength and comfort. Our prayers for others show that we truly care and are concerned not only for our own welfare but for the welfare of others. People do not ask for prayers to waste your time. They ask because they believe in the power of prayer and believe that you will pray on their behalf regarding your requests.

Our prayers to God on behalf of self and others are powerful weapons against the forces of evil, sin and sickness. If we stay united and in prayer for one another, “No weapon that is formed against you (us) will prosper.......This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54: 17)

PRACTICE THESE THINGS DILIGENTLY : “For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfaithful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble.” (2 Peter 1: 8, 10)

Until we meet again make sure you are praising God, praying for one another and practicing a faithful, virtuous and selfless life, so that the peace of the Lord will be with you always!
