Our world counts the passage of time in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years. The twelfth month of the year marks the end of countless blessings and thankfulness as we celebrate the birth of Christ. The beginning of a new year is one of anticipation and joy but also one of reflection as we look back to consider what we have accomplished while reviewing opportunities we may have missed. It is also a time of great hope through prayer and preparation for the new achievements that lie ahead as a new year begins.
I cannot underestimate the blessings that enriched Protected Harbor. We have had new and continued generous partners who came alongside us with financial support as well as providing for the increased physical needs of the residents. They provided meals, kitchen cookware, bedding and other furniture items. Partners also stepped up in closing the financial gap when it was sorely needed for medical expenses as well as unexpected household costs incurred during the lockdown.
I am personally grateful and blessed by all the staff, volunteers and donors for your continued support, encouragement and hard work, making my role here at Protected Harbor an easier and more fulfilling one. As I begin my second year as Executive Director, these past blessings assure me that 2021 will be one of even greater opportunities for creating smiles and joyous expectations for the residents and staff as well as those of us behind the scene.
Please join me in praying that the Holy Spirit will continue to lead me, the board of directors and the entire staff as we take one step at a time, with cautious optimism, into a new year. It is only through His leading and provision that we can succeed in fulfilling His will.
Proverbs 16:9 says, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps”. This coming year please continue to bless Protected Harbor through your giving and join me in praying for our ministry as we lean on the Lord for His guidance and protection.
Blessings,
