Hey, Grace’rs,

Once a year my good friend Tom Eggum comes to Grace to share an inspirational message of what God is up to around the world. This weekend he’s back. Those of you who have heard Tom speak know what a compelling experience you are in for. Those who have not yet had the chance to hear Tom will walk away inspired by God’s bold, reckless grace.

Families with last names starting with S-Z have the food table this weekend.

This Saturday@5, after the service:
Dinner: Sloppy Joes, Potato salad and chips.

And an Advent Making Event for all ages.
Coming Up:
Worship Weekends:
  • November 23/24: Guest Tom Eggum is back with us!
  • November 30/December 1: Advent Begins with our Children’s Musical Theatre Christmas Worship Service
  • December 7/8: Christmas Goes Caroling: The Story Behind O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.
  • December 14/15: Christmas Goes Caroling: The Story Behind Mary Did You Know?
  • December 21/22: Christmas Goes Caroling: The Story Behind Away in a Manger

We had some fantastic Ask Pastor Tim questions this weekend. Unfortunately our recording equipment glitched and we were only able to capture Saturday night. You can view it here.

Our good friend, the Bishop of Rwanda, Bishop Mugabo, sent us some pictures from the congregation we helped remodel their worship center. They were able to worship in their building for the first time in 2 years thanks to your bold, reckless generosity.
It’s time once again for our holiday food drive for the LPE community!

We will be collecting food items Nov 9 – Nov 24.  More info will be available in the lobby, or contact Alycia@BoldRecklessGrace.org .
Please bring Christmas cookies to share at the Christmas party in between the two shows!
For more information on everything happening at Grace, please visit our information table in the lobby, or visit our website: www.BoldRecklessGrace.org
Stats and Stuff
Worship Attendance: 578
Offerings: General $13,683 + $5,091.25 online/text = $18,774.25. Youth $20 online/text. YOLO $100. Mission $50 online/text. LPE Thanksgiving $670 + $125 online/text = $795. Noisy Offering $36.91

This is a reminder that all contributions for 2019 need to be received by our office, posted online or postmarked by December 31, 2019.
The office will be closed from December 25 until January 2, so if you're making your contribution in person, you'll want to put your contribution into the offering basket on the weekend of December 28/29

If you set up a Bill Pay service with your bank, and you direct them to issue the payment to us by December 31, that will qualify as a year-end gift, even if we receive it from the bank after the first of the year. The beauty of Bill Pay is that we do not get charged a credit card fee for that like we do with online or text gifts.

For your convenience, you could do online giving by going to our website at www.BoldRecklessGrace.org and go to the More Tab to scroll down to Online Giving.
Or, you could use TEXT giving: (623) 295-2484. We get charged a 3% credit/debit card fee for online and text gifts.

Tax-free IRA withdrawals for charity
Anyone over 70-1/2 may take tax-free distributions of up to $100,000 from a traditional IRA if the money is distributed directly to an eligible charity. While retirees can't also take a deduction for that contribution, the money won't count as income. So it won't hurt when it comes to other taxes, such as those imposed on Social Security benefits when income exceeds a certain level.
Those contributions would be directed to:
Community of Grace Lutheran Church (Fed ID #20-2336497)

It’s sometimes hard to see God at work in this broken world. But my good friend Tom Eggum will help you see God’s grace in action!
