It's hard to pivot on a dime. So, it's all hands on deck time!
Idioms are great, aren't they? They so concisely sum up our situation:
- pivoting to move some programming online (Make-A-Mask-Along and Cuppa Company will debut this month - more info on both below);
- scrambling to salvage exhibitions (both Square Foot and Intertwined are now available for virtual viewing - more info on both below);
- coordinating the design, material drop off, construction, and pickup/delivery of 15,000 masks for Northside Hospital Gwinnett (wow!);
- monitoring the ever-changing health and safety rules and recommendations (Lunchtime Fiber will resume on Tuesday for up to 10 mask-making crafters; classes are currently scheduled to resume with Monday Make Night on June 8); and
- fundraising to pay our rent and utilities while we rebound from an almost total loss of income since mid-March.
Covid-19 closed our doors. They'll be reopened, re-imagined, and reenergerized by all of us pitching in.
If you've donated already, thank you! If you haven't,
please give generously. You are SEFAA's hands on deck and your gifts matter.
