From the Advancement Committee: In the past, Teens For Christ brought Indiana Young Friends together for spiritual growth, fellowship, sharing of gifts, and outreach throughout the yearly meeting. Indiana Young Friends became a yearly meeting-wide youth group to support our children, especially those in monthly meetings who did not have a local youth group. Our ministries to youth remain vital. We must ensure the strength of our efforts to teach, challenge, encourage, and love our young folks. Our efforts to raise funds for the 2022 budget (which includes youth):
$10,563.00 Received
$12,400.00 Unpaid Pledges
$22,963.00 Total
From the Christian Service Committee: Indiana Yearly Meeting took leadership in prison reform throughout Indiana. Along the way, the efforts of several IYM leaders ended up influencing other states around the country. What needs are evident in your community? How is your monthly meeting serving those who are in need? Keep on sharing the love of Jesus Christ to our broken world.

Good Morning!
The topic of a recent Pastors Toolkit was, “How is the Pandemic Re-Shaping the Church?”
An article by Carey Nieuwhof observes that, “a growing number of church leaders are seeing a mere 20-40 percent of their congregations coming back to the pews after the Covid-19 lockdown, and while that might improve in the future, few believe their numbers will bounce back to pre-lockdown levels. Even before the onset of the virus many congregations had experienced a decline in attendance from younger churchgoers. Nieuwhof has cited data showing that, “churchgoers across the country have been rethinking their once-routine Sunday morning experience,” and suggested, “a return to a format that had already stopped resonating before the crisis is likely not the best move.”
Most acknowledge the Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, South Korea, as the largest church in the world with 480,000 attendees! A key moment in the church’s history came when David Yonggi Cho, a founding pastor plagued by ill health, suffered a physical collapse while leading a baptismal service in 1967. In re-sponse, the church was reorganized into cells meeting in the homes of cell leaders, a revolutionary concept at the time. The cell concept turned out to be an outstanding success. From 125 cells in 1967, the church has grown to several thousand cells since.
What are the revolutionary measures your church will need to take to re-shape the way your congregation functions in the future? We all probably long for the good old days of 2019, but 2020 may be one of the greatest opportunities presented to the church in our lifetime. How does Jesus want to build His church in this day?
