Science Week
The USU Science Council invites you to participate in Science Week 2020 beginning Monday, November 2nd. The week is full of events that celebrate the diverse scientific disciplines represented in the College of Science.
 
Science Week kicks off with a Research Mingle event via Zoom on Monday afternoon, November 2. This event will be a great opportunity to hear from USU Researchers and to gain insight into their projects.  
Thanks for Bringing Your 'A Game' for 'A' Day of Giving
Thanks to all of you, who generously participated in the university's 24 hours of giving. Our college, with support from alumni donors Terry & Faye Whitworth, raised more than $12,800 to establish the Student Emergency Hardship Fund to help our students in need. Details on the application process will be available soon.
Deans Search in Progress
The search for the next dean of the College of Science is in progress and is being coordinated by the Provost’s Office. 
Undergraduate Research Roundup: Oct 2020
Be sure to participate in the Research Mingle during Fall 2020 Science Week to network with faculty members. Visit the Office Research’s webpage for other research opportunities available now on campus.

Present your research at the Fall Research Symposium. Registration will close November 1, 2020. Register now.

In November, the Science Writing Center will provide workshops for writing graduate school essays. More information can be found on the SWC’s webpage.

Travel awards are not available at this time, but virtual conference grants are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Learn more here.
Science Unwrapped Explores Cybersecurity Friday, Oct. 23
Tune in via Zoom Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m., as Science Unwrapped welcomes Dr. Charmaine Sample, chief security research scientist with Idaho National Laboratory's Cybercore Division. Dr. Sample will explore artificial intelligence and machine learning from a cybersecurity perspective.
