Principal's Corner
Dear parents and guardians,
Happy 2021! I saw a sign from a ski lift operator that said “Goodbye 2020 - the only year in history to last 1000 days”. It made me smile; the world needs a lot more smiles.

As we start to prepare for the spring semester, I know challenges and storms lie ahead in the 2nd half of the school year. However, I also know that we as a learning and faith community have been tested and are up for the challenge. We are a true Holy Family Team, a team that has brought education and worked to keep the light of the Gospel alive and into the minds and hearts of students during a very dark time.

Our entire Holy Family Community - parents, teachers and staff - have come together to provide a safe place for students to learn. Together we have kept the dream of being a kid alive! We have provided the opportunity for students to have access to recess, hot lunch, art projects, show-and-tell, long division, math facts, speaking in front of the class, P.E., crayons, lockers, classmates, friends, and both positive and negative life situations. By showing up and teaching, teachers have impacted the world and demonstrated that the sands of time never stop. Thank you HFCS Teachers!

Please know that you have full authority to make attendance decisions for your student(s) and your family. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you would like your child to be a distant learner.

Please keep in mind:

  • Questionable decisions about sending students to school will impact everyone who they come into contact with.
  • Any doubt about attendance, please have your student be a distant learner. This is the purpose of completing the daily symptom tracker with your student(s).
  • We recommend anyone with symptoms get a COVID-19 test. (MCPH Fair Ground testing, claims a two- day turnaround.) See instructions HERE.
  • HFCS recommends distant learning for family members (siblings) and close contacts while a person has a pending COVID-19 test.

John 8:12  When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Lets come together to help 2021 be as bright as it can be.

God bless,
Mr. Aubert
