Great 98 Celebration
We were so excited to celebrate our students who had 98% attendance or higher for the first semester on 2/16 with an ice cream treat!
Lead
One of our 41 LEAD teams, "Updates from the Den," has the mission to provide updates and information about all of the different LEAD teams to our school and community. Part of their process includes interviewing students about their LEAD team and sharing their stories through school communication platforms. Check out their most recent interviews below. Classroom Spotlight
The 8th-grade social studies classes began practice presentations for their Project-Based Learning units with help and feedback from several professionals representing a variety of fields and occupations. The students received feedback from the experts on the originality and style of their projects related to different people groups of the 1700s and 1800s. The students then reflected on the feedback and made changes/additions to their projects to improve the overall quality of both the product they created and their presentation skills.

6th Grade Winter Festival
Our 6th-grade students had a great time participating in games, dancing to music, and enjoying refreshments during the 6th-grade Winter Festival on 2/15. The theme was tropical and students did a great job having some summer fun in the winter!
8th Grade Celebration
In the last several years, we have provided our 8th-grade students input in the celebration and format of their promotion ceremony. Within the next couple of weeks, 8th-grade students will have the opportunity to participate in a feedback process that allows their voice to develop the structure of how we will celebrate them as they leave middle school and embark on their high school adventures!
As of right now, the day of celebration that includes a promotion ceremony will take place on May 23rd and will include students and staff only. If we have snow days that extend our school year, the date will be moved back.
As in the past, all ceremony portions will be recorded and will include professional photography that will be available to families after the ceremony.
