Thank you to everyone who placed pre-orders, bought onsite, or volunteered for the Just Bakery Pop-Up event this week. The people at Just Bakery told us that we were the largest pre-order pop-up that they had ever had! Great work Tucker First!

Be a Tucker First Prayer Warrior
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." Ephesians 6:18

One way we can show our love for others is through our prayers for them and on behalf of them. That is what the intercessory prayer team does. This group of dedicated individuals lifts up to God the prayer requests sent into our church each week. The prayer requests will be sent to you each week so you can pray for our church and our community on your own schedule. If you are interested, please contact Stephanie Shanholtzer at sshanholtzer@tfumc.org.
“For such a time as this” the Music and Arts Ministry at Tucker First UMC is committed to continue making music that honors and worships God. We just have to do it differently!

For the past several months, Tom Moore, Tucker First Director of Music & Arts, has shared with many of our musicians that we need not focus on what we can’t do, but on what we can do! When we think and act creatively, there’s a lot that we can do together. Here are some opportunities that might interest you:

  • Be a part of a virtual choir!
  • Sing as part of a small ensemble (3-4 people)
  • Play or sing in The Table worship - modern worship
  • Help sing songs for Sunday morning videos
  • Participate as a musician in the traditional worship videos
  • Play handbells!

To find out more about our Music and Arts Ministry and ways to participate, click on the Soli Deo Gloria graphic above or contact Tom Moore, Director of Music & Arts at tom_moore@tfumc.org.

Community Night of Awareness
Tuesday, September 29
5:30-6:30 pm
This free program will focus on how you can help eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children in our communities. The recent news of “Operation Not Forgotten” where forty children were rescued in Georgia from child traffickers makes this community event even more timely. No one person, congregation or denomination can do everything. Each of us can do something to help in the fight!
