A new year, a new variant, but theater has survived for thousands of years, and we at Snowlion Rep continue to stay safe and do our work on new and newly-imagined works for the stage despite the challenges of these times.
An interesting thought - just what makes theater theater? Two things: A story, for one (and we've got a great one coming up, tales from Master Storyteller Chris Newcomb), but the second part, just as important, is you, the audience. Without you, theater simply cannot be.
So we say to you, please know we are working tirelessly to bring you great new theater pieces, and also to keep your body safe, your mind engaged, and your soul nurtured. Do not miss our upcoming shows...the future is uncertain, so please support us in the now as we bring Theater Made in Maine to you, our loyal audiences!

THINK YOU MIGHT BE WRONG? Find out!
A fearless bulldog. A bullied teen. A cult, a rose, a rat, and a tribe who makes the world spin. What do these things have in common? They're all elements found in the funny, charming, honest, fascinating tales woven together in the world-premiere play Think You Might Be Wrong, performing March 2 through 6 at Footlights Theatre in Falmouth.
Under the sure guidance of Master Storyteller Chris Newcomb, Think You Might Be Wrong explores, through the telling of several tales that are sometimes comic, sometimes comically painful, and always surprising, the ways in which we are right, wrong, and even wrong about being wrong! This new play aims to make you think twice, or even thrice, about everything you think you believe, and when that happens, a certain open-minded magic unfolds.
Think You Might Be Wrong was written by and stars Chris Newcomb. Several of Chris' art pieces will also be featured in the show, and for sale in the lobby! The play was developed with Snowlion Rep and will be directed by Artistic Director Al D'Andrea, as a co-production with ARTernatives.

Next up: The Secret Princess makes it debut at last (and Mark Twain is part of it all)
You've never seen MARK TWAIN like this! And yes, he's part of the show!
The world premiere musical comedy The Secret Princess is a gender-bending, naughty medieval musical romp with a surprise ending – guaranteed! That's because Mr. Twain failed to write an ending to his story A Medieval Romance, and so our audience must decide how it all comes out by casting their votes for the ending!
Coming to Meetinghouse Arts in Freeport April 29 through May 8, The Secret Princess features an outstanding cast of characters and a dozen tuneful songs by composer Thomas Adams and bookwriter/lyricist MK Wolfe (who brought Snowlion Rep audiences The Freaks Club and The Sock Who Lost His Mate).
This show will be the biggest production Snowlion Rep has brought to the stage since the gorgeous new musical Mesmerized in May of 2019. It's one you definitely don't want to miss!
