Submit Your Projects Now for the 1st Annual Polk County Science Fair!
Who: Students in grades 3-12, from any school in Polk County (including homeschools!)
When: Saturday, January 18, 2020, 2-5 pm
What: A County-wide science fair! Most schools in the county do not hold a science fair, so we are joining forces to offer an opportunity for everyone to participate.

Winners will be able to advance to the Western North Carolina Regional Science Fair in February!

Trails Coordinator Needed
We are accepting applications for a Trails Coordinator  for the rest of the 2019-2020 AmeriCorps Project Conserve year. This is a flexible position, up to full-time, through July/August. Homeschool Gym Meetup
Our free Meetups for homeschooling families are in full swing!
Tuesdays 1-3 pm for ages 6 and up
Thursdays 9:30-11 am for ages 6 and under
This month, we will be learning all about futsol, handball, and playing winter-themed games! We will not be meeting the last week of December or the first week of January.

Family Dance Party
Join us at the Saluda Library on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30 am for the Family Fun Storytime and stay for a dance party!  We will have fun music, dancing, and games for kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers. See you at the library!

Sports Updates
Youth Basketball is Under Way!
If you registered and have not heard from a coach, please let us know so we can follow up.

Games will begin on January 4th.
Fall Volleyball Wrap-Up!
What a wonderful volleyball season we had this fall. Although there was a lot of competition; it was the fun and laughter that brought all of these girls together to enjoy a sport that they love. 
This season has definitely been one to remember and we look forward to the seasons to come. We would like to thank all of our coaches for putting the time in to make this season special, and thank you to all of the players for participating here at Polk County Parks and Recreation!!!!

Spring Sports Registrations are Open!
Spring Volleyball is open now until Jan. 31.

Spring baseball, softball, and weeball will be open Dec. 27-Feb. 21

Spring soccer will be open Dec. 30-Feb. 28
