WKU honors heroes on Veterans Day
During its annual Veterans Day ceremony this morning, WKU honored veterans and remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

“Today, we gather to honor the heroes who answered the call to defend our freedom – my freedom, your freedom, the freedom of all Americans and those to come. Those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country,” President Timothy C. Caboni said during the wreath-laying ceremony at the Guthrie Bell Tower.

“Each of us, in some way, strive to make the world a better place. That endeavor looks different for us individually, and the path that we choose, as we work to make a difference in this world, varies greatly. But one thing is clear. Those who have worn the uniform of the United States of America have given more than most. And yes, sometimes, they also lost more than most. Let it never be forgotten that the price of freedom is high, and let us never forget those who paid for it.”
