Celebrating our Faculty + Staff

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week.

We have a surprise going out to our faculty + staff tomorrow morning to kick off the weekend!
Congratulations to our Seniors on their College Acceptances!

We are so proud of the amazing accomplishments of the Class of 2020!

In addition to the college acceptances our seniors have received, please know that many have also received an abundance of scholarships, financial awards and honors (the total of which will be shared at our graduation ceremony in May) * Updated List of College Acceptances  as of 4.29.20*
Updates on Cornavirus

All updates can be found on our website on the COVID-19 Updates page, direct link HERE.

Mr. Smith will continue to communicate to parents as more details are available to him.

Digital Learning

Please read Mr. Smith's Letter  Here  regarding digital days.

  • Assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m. to the PlusPortal for each class period.
  • Students are to log into PlusPortals after 9:00 a.m. and complete the assignments posted for their classes.
  • Students have until 10:00 p.m. each day to submit their work (but it is best they adhere to a daily work schedule and submit as they complete).
  • Each student is responsible for the completion of their assignments. Any student who does not complete and submit their work risks failure just as they would in the regular classroom.
  • All assignments given on a digital school day will be counted as part of their grade.
  • Teachers will be available to students via email and students are encouraged to reach out to them with any questions or concerns.

Daily Mass available on Trinity's Website

Fr. Michael is celebrating Mass every day for the TCHS Community and it is livestreamed on Facebook at www.facebook.com/tchsministry .

However, for those of you who don’t use Facebook, it will be uploaded to the school website immediately after Mass on the new TCHS Campus Ministry tab, located at: https://www.trinitycatholic.org/tchs-campus-ministry along with other videos, live chats and rosaries.

Keep in touch with your spiritual base in these times of social distancing. Together, apart means praying together, united in Christ. God bless you all.
Congratulations Matthew!

Matthew Dougherty is a BSA Eagle Scout! Matthew conducted his Eagle Board of Review, via Zoom, on Tuesday, April 28th. These unprecedented times required some creativity to conduct the Eagle Board of Review, which is typically conducted in person.

Since 1912, the Eagle Scout rank has represented a milestone of accomplishment—perhaps without equal—that is recognized across the country and even the world. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. Since its inception, only approximately four percent of Scouts have earned this rank. The journey to Eagle is a lengthy and robust process, important in maintaining the award’s well-recognized prestige. Over the course of his experience with Scouting, Matthew achieved the following Eagle Scout requirements: active participation in Scouting activities, demonstrating Scout spirit, earning merit badges, leading in positions of responsibility, developing and delivering a service project end-to-end, and conducting unit leader conferences throughout the journey.

Matthew's Eagle Service Project was to create the Crusader Spirit Garden by cleaning up and beautifying the TCHS courtyard. The Eagle project sponsor was Head of School, Pat Brady. Many Crusader football players and students participated in Matthew's Eagle Service Project back in August 31, 2019. Matthew extends his gratitude to Ms. Brady, Principal Smith, Coach Bro, his teammates, friends, Scouts, and all of those who supported him in his service project and this important achievement. Congratulations Matthew!!!

Spare A Mask, Save A Life Donation

Trinity Catholic High School recently donated four cases of various goggles used in our labs to the organization called “Spare A Mask, Save A Life.” Items donated to this organization are then distributed to emergency rooms, nursing homes and other first responders in New York City and the surrounding areas.

Michele Fufidio and her husband, Bob Schoenherr, a 2007 graduate of Trinity Catholic, stopped by Saturday morning to pick up our donation and delivered to New York City this past Tuesday.

The group was so appreciative and immediately posted it to their Instagram page @spareamasksavealife .

Senior Farewell Video - Pictures Still Needed!

As previously communicated, a video is being compiled to honor our graduating seniors, and it isn’t too late to send in pictures. We are requesting two pictures:

  1. Your child in Trinity wear – school sweatshirt, uniform or t-shirt – it doesn’t matter as long as we can see their face.
  2. Many of you have already provided a special picture of your child along with a message for them. If you have not, and would like to, please provide any picture of your child that captures who they are – it can be them as a baby or taken yesterday. Please also include a message – can be a quote, an inside joke, a bible verse or congratulatory message – anything that you would like. Please keep it to no more than two sentences.

We’d like 100% participation from all senior families, so please dig up those photos!

Please e-mail all pictures/quotes to  cwillette@trinitycatholic.org  by May 4th.
