Men invited to presentation
by Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball

United Methodist men from across the conference are invited to a presentation by West Virginia Resident Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball on March 10.

The Bishop will be the guest speaker at the March 10 meeting of the Cross Lanes United Methodist Church. The meeting will be in person. It also will be available online via Zoom.

 There will be a dinner at 6 p.m. at the church, 5320 Frontier Drive, Cross Lanes, WV 25313. The dinner will be provided by Ridge View BBQ, Institute. The dinner cost is $8.

Bishop Steiner Ball’s presentation will begin at about 6:30 p.m.

    The deadline for either ordering a meal or requesting a Zoom invitation is Noon on Thursday, March 10. The Midland South District has offered to pay for the first 10 dinner reservations.

Have you visited Portico lately? Portico is the conference’s new online learning platform. You can find it by visiting the conference website (wvumc.org) and clicking on the word “Portico” at the top of the page. Once you register, you will have your own personal learning page with access to over 50 courses.


Check out Portico!In Ephesians 4:12 we read about the importance of equipping people for the work of ministry in order to build up the body of Christ, the local church. These online learning courses are one way we can all strengthen ourselves and those in our congregations.

Most of the courses are about 20-minutes in length, and can be taken on your schedule. You also have the ability to start and stop the courses as needed. More courses are added to the platform each month, so check back often.
