Dear Delaware ECE Stakeholder Community,
Thank you to those who were able to join us during the Delaware Early Childhood Council Meeting, Delaware Stars Feedback Session, on June 2, 2021. We greatly appreciated the honest feedback and conversation with our stakeholder community. We know that many of you were not able to join us because of all that is on your plate right now and we wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to access the information that was presented.
Included here you will find the PowerPoint slides covered during the meeting as well as a summary document that outlines the key changes in the proposed model from the current Stars system and what this will mean for providers.
The specifics of many processes are still under consideration, and we will invite you to join us for discussions and feedback during the summer months. In the meantime, if you would like to provide any feedback on the proposed changes outlined during the DECC meeting or in the attached documents, please use the comment box located at the bottom of this webpage or email j[email protected].
We recognize that our previous communications about the revision and decision-making process have not always provided the level of detail to envision next steps and that this may have caused frustration and anxiety for many providers. We would like to recommit to keeping the field informed and engaged as we move forward in designing a system that will better serve Delaware's children, families, and early childhood providers. To this end, we will be sharing a timeline next week that details milestones for completing the revision process and opportunities to provide feedback.
