Weather Follow-Up: Resources; Yard Waste; Facility Updates
Mayor Sandy Cox gave a live update yesterday afternoon related to the winter storm recovery and latest on COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Click here to watch that video.

The State of Texas has opened a call center to help residents, especially those with limited or no internet access with completing the State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT). Filling out the iSTAT will help the state identify damages and help emergency management officials gain an understanding of damages that occurred during the recent severe winter weather event. It will also help provide information to FEMA and highlight the need for federal disaster assistance for individuals. Click here to connect to the iSTAT survey form if you received damage. Click here to connect to more state resources regarding the weather event from last week. If you need assistance filling out the form, you can call (844) 844-3089 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. seven days a week.

WATER:
If you're still in need of fresh drinking water due to a busted or broken pipe, a water filling station is available by appt. only through Lakeway MUD at the Lakeway Commons Shopping Center. Click here for that information. If you still need water delivered, please fill out this form if you have a need. There is currently no boil water notice in effect for Lakeway residents at this time through the water districts.

TREE LIMBS/YARD WASTE:
If you have brush and fallen tree limbs to get rid of, you can still recycle those at Public Works Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. next week. Click here for more details. Waste Connections will continue to pick up extra trash, but is trying to limit each household to no more than 8 bags of yard waste and 3'X3' as well through next week. If you have additional bulky items, please contact our solid waste team by calling (512) 314-7514.

SWIM CENTER:
The Swim Center is back open now after being shut down the past few weeks due to the winter weather and some repair work that followed. Some classes resumed this morning. Keep in mind the locker room toilets are out of order and being worked on, but the center does have a single bathroom available on the outside of the facility facing the skatepark. Click here for more on the Swim Center.

PARKS:
If you plan to visit some of the area parks, please be careful for fallen tree limbs. Hamilton Greenbelt was closed temporarily due to downed tree limbs, but is back open now. Repair work is currently still being done on facilities in the park. There is one toilet operational, but the sink and water fountains in the park are undergoing repair at this time.

POWER:
If you still have an issues with your power, please reach out to your energy provider:

  • Austin Energy: (512) 322-9100
