Greetings from the BCMA, where our doors are temporarily closed until further notice. With great regret, though mindful of the courageous global effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate this pandemic, we have decided to postpone   At First Light: Two Centuries of Artists in Maine , our major exhibition marking Maine's bicentennial originally scheduled to open in June. We look forward to presenting it in the summer of 2021. In the meantime, please check out the book that accompanies the exhibition. Published by Rizzoli, it is now available , and it promises to provide a wonderful breath of Maine air. Though the doors are shut, the team at the BCMA remains active behind-the-scenes.  Please explore new features added to the BCMA website, which now highlights a host of " Visit from Home " features, including a  new virtual exhibition  and  family activities . Stay tuned for more to come!
