Student/Parent/Teacher Fall Conferences
Conference sign-ups are going well! At this time, there are 10 more slots to be filled. We would appreciate it if you could choose your conference slot this week. Ms. Miller teaches Literacy to younger students as well, and will need to schedule those conferences as soon as the high school conferences are confirmed. Thank you for your cooperation!

Fall Conferences in the High School are scheduled for Thursday, October 24 from 3:30-6:00 for Seniors, and Friday from 8:00-12:00 for Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors. As a reminder, in high school, students are felt to be an extremely important part of the conference team, and they are required to attend their conferences. At the STP Conference, the high school teachers will meet together with the student and the parent to learn about their progress report, school to work opportunities and any questions they may have. Please click on "Time to Learn" above and sign up for your conference slot today!
Juniors - Class Rings are right around the corner
One of the time-honored traditions of the Junior year in high school is getting your class ring. At Summit, we have partnered with Balfour in the creation of a Summit class ring. On Monday, 10/14, each Junior will come home with a packet describing the various ring options. Then, between 8-1 on your conference day, 10-25, plan to stop by Balfour to see the rings and make your selection if you are ready. We are fortunate that Balfour is just down the road from Summit - about a 5 minute drive. Our Balfour representatives, Starla and Phil, will be happy to help you!

Every Junior will participate in the Junior Ring Ceremony in the Spring, but if you decide not to purchase a ring from Balfour, we can talk about a different type of keepsake you might like to receive during the Ring Ceremony. Questions? Please feel free to contact sbeach@summit-academy.org
Alumni Update
Alexandra J graduated with the class of 2019. She checks in regularly and wanted to pass this message on to the current Summit students "I was fortunate that during my senior year at Summit Academy I was able to combine work and academics each week. The senior experience at Summit gave me the confidence to continue working while taking college courses. Presently, I am working part time in food services and taking classes at Ivy Tech in Bloomington, Indiana. I am really enjoying my Psychology 101 class with Professor Green.
Way to go, Alexandra!
